Inklings 4x6 Prints
I spent some time illustrating the haunts of my favorite Oxford circle—those brilliant minds who shaped modern mythology through friendship and fierce debate—for a particular pipe tobacco blend: the Inklings Blend. By request I am making these available as prints. They are black ink printed on 110lb watercolor paper, which is what I drew the originals on. They are all 4x6 inches with the exception of "The Debate" (the Lewis & Tolkien by the fire drawing) which is 5x5 inches.
This series follows the path they walked:
📍 "The New Building": Where the quiet halls of Magdalen College provided the backdrop for deep study.
📍 "The Bird and Baby": The iconic facade of the Eagle and Child, the regular morning sanctuary for the group.
📍 "Rabbits": The cozy, worn-in atmosphere of the Rabbit Room at the Eagle and Child where ideas were voiced.
📍 "The Debate": A tribute to the legendary Tuesday morning debates between Tolkien and Lewis—where the sparks of Middle-earth and Narnia were first caught beside a warm hearth.
These drawings are a celebration of intellectual tradition, the beauty of Oxford, and the kind of fellowship that changes the world.
